Our journey began with a simple yet revolutionary idea. My father, a skilled blacksmith, created the Handy Plow, inspired by traditional buffalo plows. Designed to make gardening tasks easier, this plow quickly gained popularity among local farmers in our small town.

For over a decade, we proudly sold our Handy Plow to farmers in our province. Despite imitators, my father’s craftsmanship made our plow the go-to tool in the region.

As the world evolved, I saw an opportunity to share my father’s incredible invention with a larger audience. I decided to take the leap, bringing the Handy Plow to the US and European markets, and rebranded it as THE DUC. This was the moment I realized how much more we could accomplish.

The next step in our journey was to protect our invention. In June 2022, we filed for a patent, ensuring that our design would continue to inspire gardeners US.

Our story continues, with THE DUC LLC reaching gardeners far and wide. From a small-town invention to a global brand, we’re honored to carry on my father’s legacy and help gardeners speed up their tasks with the Handy Plow.
